Where Hurricane Costs Land (Fall 2026)
I put together data on 43 U.S. hurricanes from NOAA, FEMA, and FRED and turned it into a dashboard. The surprise was that a storm's category tells you very little about what it costs. Sandy was only a Category 1 and still cost far more than Michael, the one Category 5 in the data. The dashboard just shows patterns, so it can't prove why anything happened. Sandy also wasn't tropical anymore when it hit New Jersey, and ten of the storms have no damage estimate.
Open the dashboardTechnology Commercialization Assessment (Fall 2026)
My team of five assessed a USF-patented ketone supplement meant to help with age-related muscle loss. I took the technology side, which meant digging into the inventors, similar patents, and whether the research backed up the claims. We scored the technology 87 out of 100 and the market 60 out of 95. We recommended proving the product out first and licensing later. It was a class project, not a valuation.
Design Thinking Sprint, Graduate Student Experience (2025)
I led a team through a one-week sprint on the graduate student experience at USF. We talked with about 20 people, mapped customer journeys, and presented a business model for a student-connection ecosystem.
Conference Center Strategy Project (2024)
I analyzed why a local conference center's demand hadn't recovered after COVID, using competitive and market research. I presented recommendations on target segments, revenue, and unused space, and the owner received them well.
